Welcome New Faculty: Prof. Michele Di Cristo
07 November, 2013
Michele Di Cristo has joined the SRI Uncertainty Quantification Center at KAUST.
Michele is an applied mathematician whose field of expertize is related with the study of inverse problems for partial differential equations.
His research focus mainly on the uniqueness and stability issue for the determination of an inclusion in electrical, elastic and thermal conductors. He has also obtained some results in the theory of inverse scattering and, recently, he has dealt with size estimate problems for elliptic inverse problems.
He earned a BS in Mathematics from the University of Trieste, Italy and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Milano, Italy.
He spent a period as a post doc at the University of Delaware, USA and he was a visiting faculty at Hokkaido University, Japan and Tongji University, China.
