The Clean Combustion Research Center (CCRC) will seek a knowledge-based understanding of combustion phenomena, develop innovative technologies for clean and efficient combustion and provide solutions for present and future energy and environmental challenges. ​

Shaheen supercomputer, named after the Peregrine Falcon, is the largest and most powerful supercomputer in the Middle East, achieving a theoretical peak of 222 Tflop/sKAUST Supercomputing Laboratory is also targeting petaflop capability within 3 years.
